Instead of a traditional sermon, Pastor Rodney Elliott interviewed three members of the Pathway family, Eric, Shannon, and Ron, about their journeys to faith. Each described real pain before knowing Jesus: compounding loss and divorce, alcoholism and depression, addiction and grief, and each described a specific person who reached out to them, walked alongside them, and eventually saw them baptized. Rodney tied their stories back to Luke 15, where Jesus tells the parable of the lost sheep to explain why He pursued the tax collectors and sinners the religious leaders of His day had written off. The message closed with a reminder that heaven rejoices over exactly this kind of story, and an invitation for anyone ready to take that same step toward Jesus.
