When God Is First
OPENING PRAYER:
Lord, I want You to be first in my life—not just in words, but in reality. Show me where I've made other things more important than You. Amen.
"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." - Matthew 6:33
REFLECT:
Pastor Todd's key message was clear: "When God is first, everything else comes together." This doesn't mean life becomes perfect or easy, but it means we're finally looking to the right source for life, meaning, and purpose.
Think about the "temples" Pastor Todd mentioned—the workplace, the bank, the gym, the stadium. These aren't bad places, but when we sacrifice our time, health, relationships, and peace to them, they've become our gods.
What would it look like for God to truly be first in your life? Not just on Sunday mornings, but in your daily decisions, your relationships, your finances, and your dreams? When we get this order right, everything begins to change.
I WILL STATEMENT:
I will identify one thing I've been asking to give me life, and I will surrender it to God in prayer.
CLOSING PRAYER:
Father, I want to put You first in every area of my life. Help me to surrender my idols and to trust that Your plan for me is better than anything I could imagine. In Jesus' name, Amen.
