"Bread for the Journey"

OPENING PRAYER:

Gracious God, nourish our souls with Your word and sustain us with Your presence. May we find strength in Your provision. Amen.

"Give us today our daily bread."

Matthew 6:11 (NIV)

REFLECT:

In the message, Pastor Carter spoke about the necessity of God's provision in our lives. Just as we need physical sustenance, we also require spiritual nourishment. The prayer for daily bread is a reminder of our dependence on God for all things.

Todd shared how prayer is not a fast-food drive-through or a 911 call, but a relationship with a Father who knows our needs. This perspective shifts our prayers from being self-centered to God-centered, focusing on His provision and presence in our lives.

Reflecting on the story of Ron Bailey, we see how God's provision can transform lives. Ron's journey from addiction to leadership is a testament to the power of God's daily provision. As we pray for our daily bread, we are invited to trust in God's faithfulness and to seek His kingdom first.

I WILL STATEMENT:

I will pray the Lord's Prayer for the next 21 days. We’re inviting the entire Pathway family to join us for 21 Days of Prayer, starting with a special Kickoff Night on Saturday, January 10, at our Westlink Campus (2001 N. Maize Rd.), beginning at 7:00 PM, following Saturday evening service. To find out more, check out the Weekly Guide in the Pathway app or click here.

CLOSING PRAYER:

Lord, thank You for providing for our needs each day. Help us to trust in Your faithfulness and to share Your blessings with others. May we find our sustenance in You. Amen.
