"Forgiveness and Freedom"
OPENING PRAYER:
Merciful Father, teach us the power of forgiveness and the freedom it brings. May we reflect Your grace in our relationships. Amen.
"And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors."
Matthew 6:12 (NIV)
REFLECT:
Pastor Carter's message highlighted the importance of forgiveness in our relationship with God and others. Forgiveness is not just a request but a commitment to extend the same grace we have received. This is a challenging yet transformative aspect of prayer.
In the message, Todd shared how prayer aligns our lives with God's name and mission. Forgiveness is a crucial part of this alignment, as it reflects God's character and love. The story of Ron Bailey, who now helps others find freedom from addiction, illustrates the power of forgiveness and grace.
As we pray for forgiveness, we are reminded of our own need for grace and the call to extend it to others. This is not always easy, but it is essential for our spiritual growth and the health of our relationships. We are encouraged to examine our hearts and to seek reconciliation where needed.
I WILL STATEMENT:
I will pray the Lord's Prayer for the next 21 days. We’re inviting the entire Pathway family to join us for 21 Days of Prayer, starting with a special Kickoff Night on Saturday, January 10, at our Westlink Campus (2001 N. Maize Rd.), beginning at 7:00 PM, following Saturday evening service. To find out more, check out the Weekly Guide in the Pathway app or click here.
CLOSING PRAYER:
Lord, thank You for the gift of forgiveness. Help us to extend Your grace to others and to find freedom in letting go of past hurts. May our lives reflect Your love and mercy. Amen.
