Gathered and Growing: Inviting Others into the Harvest

OPENING PRAYER:

Lord, thank You for the community of believers. Help me see the joy and strength of serving together as Your body.

READ: John 15:16 (NIV)

“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.” John 15:16 (NIV)

Jesus reminds His disciples that their calling is by His initiative, and their purpose is to bear lasting fruit, not just for themselves but for the world.

REFLECT:

Faith is not a solo project. Pastor Rodney celebrated the micro campus leaders, children’s workers, and every unseen servant in the Pathway family. Their collective fruit multiplies far beyond what any one person could do alone. This is the genius of God’s design: we are called to serve together, to invite others into the work, so that the harvest is large and lasting.

When you invite someone to serve with you, you’re not just sharing a task, you’re opening a door for them to taste the joy of being used by God. Maybe you’ve been serving faithfully, but now it’s time to multiply by bringing someone alongside. Or maybe you’re just starting, and your step is to say yes for the first time. Either way, the harvest is richer, the joy deeper, and the impact greater when we labor together. Don’t underestimate the difference you make when you invite others into the adventure of bearing fruit. God uses community to change the world.

APPLY:

This weekend, we talked about taking the next step—and sometimes that step is simply getting started. If you've never served at Pathway, or if it's been a while, we'd love to help you find your place. Just open the Pathway App, tap Get Involved, or visit the website at pathwaychurch.com/volunteer to explore where you could jump in. And if you're already serving, here's your challenge this week: invite someone to serve alongside you. Some of the greatest growth happens when we serve together, so don't keep that opportunity to yourself!

I WILL STATEMENT:

I will take one concrete step towards serving, or I will invite someone to serve with me.

CLOSING PRAYER:

Father, thank You for calling me into Your family and mission. Help me invite others into the joy of bearing fruit together, so that Your love multiplies through us.

PRAYER REQUEST:

Share your prayer request and pray for others.
