The Invitation—From Attender to Family

OPENING PRAYER:

Lord, draw us from the edges into the heart of Your family. Open our hearts to the joy of belonging, serving, and celebrating together.

READ: John 15:12 (NIV)

"My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you."John 15:12 (NIV)

Jesus’ final command in this passage is not just to remain in Him, but to love one another in sacrificial, tangible ways.

REFLECT:

The message concluded with a powerful vision: church is not meant to be an event we attend but a family we belong to. The changes to service times, the encouragement to linger and connect—all are practical ways to foster real relationships. Pastor Carter reminded us that everyone loves to celebrate when the family grows, as with the joyful news of his daughter’s pregnancy.

But connection doesn’t happen by accident. It takes intentionality—a willingness to arrive early, stay late, and invite others into our circle. The fruit of community is joy, support, and lives changed together. Don’t settle for being a spectator; answer the invitation to be a branch in the family vine.

APPLY:

This weekend, we talked about taking the next step—and sometimes that step is simply getting started. If you've never served at Pathway, or if it's been a while, we'd love to help you find your place. Just open the Pathway App, tap Get Involved, or visit the website at pathwaychurch.com/volunteer to explore where you could jump in. And if you're already serving, here's your challenge this week: invite someone to serve alongside you. Some of the greatest growth happens when we serve together, so don't keep that opportunity to yourself!

I WILL STATEMENT:

I will take one concrete step towards serving, or I will invite someone to serve with me.

CLOSING PRAYER:

Thank You, Father, for inviting us into Your family. Help us to love, serve, and celebrate together, so the world sees Your love made real among us.

PRAYER REQUEST:

Share your prayer request and pray for others.
